LL4Schools has been specifically set up to provide a safe environment for schools to use blogging and other web2.0 tools with their pupils so giving them the opportunity to express themselves to a global audience and work with students from around the world. All user accounts are created at a registered school's request so we have complete traceability and a single point of contact within each establishment.
In addition to blogs users have wiki pages, an rss aggregator, file storage, picture gallery, video gallery, social bookmarks, discussion forums and, of course, users can make "friends" and create communities of common interest. Any user can create a new community group or join an existing one.
Find out more about The Learning Landscape for Schools here? If you are a teacher you can register your school online and, after completing our verification process, we will create 20 accounts for you to use with your pupils for as long as you like. If you want to add more users to your account or have named users then you can easily upgrade to the full version. Details of school prices are given on our main LL4Schools website
If you see anything on this site that you think is not suitable for children to view then please contact us at abuse@ll4schools.co.uk. Blog posts can be flagged as inappropriate (look for the "Report this..." link on the left had side of the page) which will alert us so we can take appropriate action. There are also resources and links to other sites in the Documentation community which offer advice and support on various issues around internet safety. You should also read the Childnet site's advice on being SMART online.
